Structural Steel Fabrication

At Precision Welding and Installation, we provide comprehensive structural steel fabrication services supported by complete in-house detailing capabilities. By combining detailing and fabrication under one roof, we are able to tightly control accuracy, schedule, and quality from initial concept through final delivery.
Tekla Structures is used for detailing structural steel buildings, steel, and precast concrete. Meanwhile, SolidWorks is used for mechanical, CNC coding, and 3D modeling. Our detailing team produces highly accurate shop drawings in strict accordance with project specifications, engineer requirements, and tight tolerance blueprints. This level of precision allows fabrication to proceed efficiently and eliminates costly delays, rework, and unexpected field issues. Every drawing and fabrication document is carefully reviewed for constructability, fit-up, and code compliance prior to release to the shop.
All structural steel fabrication is performed by a highly skilled team of certified welders holding AWS D1.1 Unlimited certifications. Our personnel are trained in proper fabrication procedures, welding techniques, and quality control practices to ensure consistent, repeatable results. This disciplined approach ensures accuracy, structural integrity, and long-term performance of every component we produce. By fabricating it right the first time, we minimize field welding, reduce fit-up modifications, and support efficient and safe erection on site.

In-House Detailing and 3D Modeling

Our detailing services utilize industry-leading software for accuracy and visualization:
  • Tekla Structures for Structural Steel Detailing
  • Tekla Structures for Precast Concrete Detailing
  • SolidWorks for Mechanical and Tight-Tolerance Fabrication Modeling
Through 3D modeling, we are able to identify conflicts before fabrication begins, coordinate connections, generate CNC files, and produce highly accurate part drawings. Our models integrate seamlessly with fabrication equipment and CNC machinery, creating a true digital-to-steel workflow.

CNC and Fabrication Equipment

Our shop is equipped to handle high-volume and specialty fabrication work, including:
  • CNC Plasma Cutting Table with Cutting Capacity up to 1–1/4-Inch Thick Material
  • CNC Machinery Dedicated to Precision Part Production
  • Fully Automated Saw Capable of Large Bundle Cutting and Mass-Production Runs
  • High-Accuracy Layout Tools for Exact Geometry and Fit-Up
Automation allows us to combine speed with repeatable precision while maintaining full traceability of parts and assemblies.

Quality Control and Documentation

Quality is embedded in every step of our process. We maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals and documented quality control processes for layout, welding, and final inspection. Every project includes:
  • Documented Checkpoints
  • Material Verification
  • Weld Inspection
  • Dimensional Accuracy Verification
  • Final QC Sign-Off
This process ensures that all fabricated steel meets or exceeds project requirements and governing code standards before leaving our facility.

Capabilities Include

  • Structural Steel Beams, Columns, and Bracing
  • Miscellaneous Metals and Plate Work
  • Precast Embeds and Structural Connections
  • Custom Fabrication and Mechanical Framing
